All friends and members of the United Church of Christ and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) are invited to the fifth biennial ¡Missionworks! event.

Keynote speaker Jean-Paul Chami is the manager of the Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution program for the Forum for Development, Culture and Dialogue (FDCD) in Lebanon. This program oversees a 4-year project in Iraq aiming at building the capacities of the Iraqi civil society on Conflict Resolution and Advocacy.
Missionworks begins with dinner at 5:30pm on Thursday, October 7 and ends with worship at 12noon on Saturday, October 9.

| Ministries and Mission Interpreters (MMI) Training |
Join us for the  Ministries and Mission Interpreters (MMI) training immediately following ¡Missionworks! Do you have a passion for global mission? Are you looking for new mission outreach ideas? Are you a pastor interested in energizing your congregation through global mission? Have you had or would you like to have an experience serving overseas? Do you want to learn more about mission around the world so that you can tell the story? Then this event is for you! The MMI training begins with lunch on Saturday afternoon and goes until noon on Sunday, October 10, 2010.

If you are committed to serving as a Ministries and Mission Interpreter and money for attending this event is a problem, please contact us for a scholarship phone interview. There are a limited number of scholarships available which will cover the event, training, meals and lodging (double occupancy) - a total of $445. We are also asking that each scholarship participant find a way to pay his/her own transportation to Cleveland through personal funds, his/her local congregation or region/conference.

- Cancellations received 14 days or less before the event will not be eligible for a refund.
- Scholarship attendees will be charged the full cost of the event if they fail to attend without cancelling prior to the event.
