New Zealand, also known by it's Maori name of Aotearoa, consists of two major islands (North Island and South Island). The indigenous Maoris still make up about 15% of the population, while the descendants of European colonizers who arrived in the 19th century make up the majority. Recent immigrants from Asia and other parts of the Pacific also add to the diversity of this green and pastoral land. We have church contacts with the Associated Churches of Christ in New Zealand.
Pray for: Strengthening of our ties with partners, organizations and churches.
Closing the social and economic gap between the indigenous Maori and the rest of the population.
