Martha Mensendiek - Japan

Though Christmas day has passed, the spirit and promise of the season is still in the air!  I pause now to reflect and share a bit about my life and work this year.

As some of you already know, my father, William Mensendiek passed away on February 13th. We certainly did not expect that he wouldn't recover from his hospitalization for minor surgery, and it was not until the final week when we finally realized he was dying. It was hard to accept, but we are grateful that we were all together at the time of his death. We had two wonderful memorial services to remember and give tribute to his life in Claremont and later on in Sendai, Japan, where he spent his career.
