Update on Mungeli Hospital Construction Projects in India
Anil Henry writes: "We are all excited about the groups coming to Mungeli in 2010 and I know it will really be meaningful for the staff here. Meanwhile life here is WET and different from what we expect in the winter. I am attaching three pictures of what yesterday was like. The first is of a tractor that came loaded with bricks and got stuck in the mud… The second is of the new roof that we put on the house where Arun stays… The third is a picture of the guest house getting a second floor put on… To read the report and see the photos, click here:

YWCA calls for action to end forced eviction of Palestinians in East Jerusalem
"In the early morning of Sunday August 2, 2009 Israeli police, accompanied by members of the Israeli occupation forces, forcibly evicted eight Palestinian families from their homes in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood of occupied East Jerusalem. Israel, as the occupying power in East Jerusalem, is prohibited under international humanitarian law from destroying private property unless such destruction is considered necessary for military operations. But for many Palestinians, their homes are under constant threat of destruction. The Hanoun and Ghawi families, evicted on Sunday to make room for Jewish settlers, are the latest victims of Israel's illegal settlement plan across East Jerusalem. The Hanoun family is next door to the YWCA of Jerusalem, the national headquarters of the YWCA of Palestine. To read more about this action alert, click here:
