At the Common Global Ministries Board meeting in Cleveland, November 9-11, 2007, the Board approved the appointment of four missionaries: Xuyen Dangers, Amirtha Vijayakumar, Sandra Lee-Takei, and Kevin Howe.

From left to right:

Xuyen Dangers will serve with Church World Service in Laos as a consultant for development in Laos including projects with Disciples and UCC connections.

Amirtha Vijayakumar will serve with the World Student Christian Federation (WSCF) in Geneva, Switzerland as a Global Mission Intern in human rights and solidarity.

Sandra Lee-Takei will serve with the Council on Cooperative Mission in Sendai, Japan, as a Global Mission Intern with the Director of Youth Ministries at the Emmaus Center.

Kevin Howe will serve with the Christian Commission of Development (CCD) in Honduras as a Global Mission Intern working in the communications ministry.
