News from Family Village Farm

Family Village Farm in Vellore, India recently shared two recent joys from their ministry working with students and elders.

IMG_2759.jpgThe Senior citizens days for the elderly residents of the FVF was celebrated on the 5th of November. A fun filled day when several events were conducted and all the elders at FVF took part with great enthusiasm in events like musical chairs, a walking race, making beads, a speech competition, lime and spoon races, free hand drawing, lighting candles and even a dance competition.

This was a great day for all the elderly in the FVF community when everyone participated and forgot their age and their physical ailments and just enjoyed the day. The winners of the competitions were awarded prizes like medicine boxes, small purses and hand bags. The joy on the faces of our elders bought a lot of cheer to the community at FVF.

We are extremely delighted to inform you that in the District Level oratory Competition on the theme “A World without AIDS” held at Venkateswara Hr. Secondary School, Vellore, Keerthana B won the first prize. The Vellore Collector (district magistrate) Mr. Nanda Gopal had awarded her the prize at his office. We are thankful to God the Almighty for this great blessing and our authorities, as well as Mr. Tharyan Koshi, our secretary and our Correspondent Ms. Lallu Joseph for their motivation and encouragement. We would like to highlight that Keerthana B is a Global Ministries Sponsored student (she lost her father when she was 9 years old).
