Through Church World Service, Global Ministries continues to help the people of Afghanistan in three key ways. The Housing Program provides house building kits and livelihood kits (tools, seeds and livestock) to families. The Income Generation Project enables women, many of whom are war widows, to support their families through a quilt-making project. The Education Project provides school desks, chairs and school kits for students and also conducts teacher training and repairs war-damaged school buildings.
