Indian Samaritans, New Delhi
Indian Samaritans serve economically underprivileged children to ensure education, empowerment and employment. This program aims to break the cycle of poverty among children living below the poverty line in India. Samaritans targets the issues of child labor, malnutrition, school dropout rates, child marriage rates, and discrimination against disabled women and widows.
Samaritans works with homeless and at risk populations to identify children who are not succeeding in the education system and then work with the parents and schools to ensure that the children succeed in education and are prepared to enter the workforce after school. Indian Samaritans seeks to ensure that children in India are able to pursue their dreams regardless of their socioeconomic status.
