International University of the Caribbean

The International University of the Caribbean was founded by the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands in November 2005. It consists of two educational entities: The College for Leadership and Theological Development and the Mel Nathan College. These entities bring to the University a rich history of educational innovation, high academic and research standards, and a commitment to community engagement. The union of the two entities helps to solidify their already existing strengths while providing a platform for expansion and increased impact in the Caribbean and beyond.

The vision of the International University of the Caribbean is to influence the empowerment of quality persons who will cultivate and promote the well-being of family, community, and nation. The IUC strives to build educational communities that are committed to life-long learning and, therefore, function as resource centers for communities and nations in their search for meaningful solutions to the challenges of the 21st century.
