Pray for India on Sunday, August 16, 2009

Lectionary Text and Prayers for: India, John 6:51-58; Psalm 111

Compassionate God of love and hope today we pause and give time in prayer for your creation.  With grateful hearts we embrace this moment in this day knowing you are always present with us.  You know how we are made and today as we lift into your light of wholeness the Henry family.  It is your suffering along side that brings strength during this time of change in their lives.  Send encouragers as they concentrate on the hope that brings renewal.   In the fragmentation may they sense your light in this darkness and know there is an end to the pain because of the hope they have in your sustaining presence.  God the source of grace hear our pray. Amen

Teresa and Anil Henry is serving a four year term with the Synodical Board of Health Services of the Church of North India. Teresa is the anesthesiologist of the Christian Hospital of Mungeli and Anil works as a medical doctor.

Nancy Lott Henry is serving as a long-term volunteer with the Church of North India. She is working as a teacher of nurses for hospitals in their eastern region.
