In October 2019, a group of Disciples women participated in a Woman-to-Woman Worldwide (W2WW) pilgrimage to Morocco, coordinated by Global Ministries. The women were moved by the ministries of Global Ministries partner, the Evangelical Protestant Church in Morocco (EEAM). They listened to stories of women and families who have faced challenges, and have arrived in Morocco after journeying many miles for safety.Read more

Prayers for Morocco:
Yahweh Shalom, as we are lifting up in prayer our sisters and brothers in Morocco, we are thanking you for your overwhelming peace in the midst of troubled times, a peace that is available to us all, with no exception. Remind us that by standing firm in peace, we will win life.
Yahweh Yireh, we are praying for the Protestant Church in Morocco and all of the help they are providing to the least of these – surely they are contributing to the movement of wholeness in a fragmented world. Please provide the resources they need so that they can continue this important work of love, presence, and assistance for all. Remind them that by standing firm in their willingness to serve, they will win life.
Abba, we are lifting in prayer the new student pastors who are now serving in various churches all over Morocco. Please allow them to find strength and courage in this new era of their lives. Most of them are young and newlyweds, it will be hard to balance all of these new roles they will have to embody. Remind them that by standing firm in these new roles you’ve assigned to them, they will win life.
El Shaddai, we are praying for safety, health, and strength for all the dreamers who are looking for a better future, not only for themselves but also for those attached to them. We are praying for those who are risking all they have so that they can find access to a peaceful haven. Please guide them in their journey and give them the courage and strength to face what is ahead. Remind them that by standing firm in their dream, they will win life.
Allah, as a new school semester starts for most students, we are praying for those who have recently arrived in Morocco. Many are lost, faced with a new reality in a new country and community, but we are praying that they find balance and peace in you, loving Parent. And remind them that by standing firm in their projects, they will win life.
Thanking you in advance for our answered prayers, we are giving you praise!
In Jesus’ name, we pray,

Prayers for Morocco:
Precious God, creator of heaven and earth, giver and sustainer of life, in You we live and move and have our beings. There is nothing we can do without you. And all that we are able to do is because of You. We are crying out to you for this beautiful land of Morocco and for all of us who dwell in it.
The past days have been challenging for our church. We have lost loved ones, we have been shaken by winds of oppression and division. But still your presence is with us and your Spirit comfort us!
We pray for this country which is home for some, a dreamed destination for many and a transit for others. Give us the ability to welcome the stranger as an extension of yourself, help us to treat each other as our brother and sister. Let your liberating love touch and transform our hearts so we may love as You love us. Let your amazing grace teach us how to extend mercy to those who seem to need it.
Shine your light of hope and courage in the darkness of the many challenges we have to face. Renew our strength so we may continue to be servants of the least of us. As You are working through us and with us, please remind us that we are earthly vessels empowered by You to accomplish your will. Let us walk humbly before you in love, with joy and peace.

My first Christmas in Morocco, last year, was quite emotional.
Here’s what I mean by that: I am ministering in a beautiful country, rich in history and culture, which is also a Muslim country which is not celebrating the birth of our Lord, yet acknowledges His ministry as a prophet.Read more

Prayers for Morocco:
Precious, Loving, and Caring God, we are here before you with our hearts filled with gratitude, for you are our Everything! We bless your Holy Name, our Mighty Savior and our Omnipresent Help in times of need. We are grateful for your gentle hands that are always offering to touch, heal and guide us on our paths!
Thank You Lord for being this Present Help to the Evangelical Church of Morocco, deciding daily to stand for those in trouble!
We pray that, as you are our Messiah and Savior, the one who saved us from ourselves, may you also be the Messiah for all the migrants who are seeking help, seeking a better future for their families and themselves! As they are walking with their hands held high, crying for a Savior, someone to relieve them from their burdens, we pray that you show up in their lives, through us, to rescue them from their pain and sorrow.
We pray for all the ministers of the Church who have decided to take their cross and sacrifice their own comfort so that their sisters and brothers could get closer to their own “Canaan.” May your overwhelming peace and love fill their hearts till they overflow on the lives they are serving! Give them the strength and courage to go on. Lord, when they feel fragile and frail, please show yourself strong in their weaknesses!
For we know that after the cross, resurrection and restoration surely come!
In Jesus name. Amen!Read more

Prayers for Morocco:
You who give seed to the sower, harvest and fruit to humankind. We are thankful for every seed of love, joy, peace and justice that has been sown into the rich soil of this country. We surely know that in due time, they will bring forth abundant fruit.
May you strengthen the work of the Evangelical Protestant Church of Morocco that we may continue to be this tree for your children to come find rest and refreshment for their souls, minds and bodies. We lift to you those who are supporting this tremendous work by their various contributions. Bless them so they can be a blessing to the least of these.
In the midst of lack and scarcity, we are yet confident that we will reap an unprecedented harvest. We trust in your benevolence, and we know that you are the great provider, who never fails.
Master of time and circumstances, please send your rain in every dry place, let your sun shine on us, and let the atmosphere be favorable to your people as we journey through the various seasons of life.
Let the joy of your kingdom dwell upon us, let the peace of Jesus Christ guard our mind and let the unity of the Holy Spirit keep us together.
