New President for NEST

The Board of Managers of the Near East School of Theology elected Academic Dean, Dr. George Sabra, as the 9th president of the Seminary since 1932. In a special meeting of the Board held on February 27, 2012, the full Board, composed of representatives of the four supporting churches, the National Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon, the Armenian Union of Evangelical Churches in the Near East, the  Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem and the Lutheran Church of Jerusalem and the Holy Land, unanimously endorsed the recommendation of the Presidential Search Committee and appointed Dr. Sabra as president for a full term.
