Welcome LaMarco Cable!

Global Ministries is pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. LaMarco Cable as Program Associate for Advocacy and Education, based at the Disciples Center in Indianapolis, effective April 1, 2008. LaMarco is an ordained minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and a graduate of Lexington Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity Degree. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religion from Transylvania University, Lexington, KY. LaMarco, who is currently the pastor of Broadway Christian Church in Winchester, KY, has served the church in many other capacities, including: The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) General Board and Administrative Committee; the Tennessee Regional Board, where he also served as East Area Moderator; the Disciples Standing Committee on Renewal and Structural Reform; the Transylvania Anti-Hate Coalition; and the Transylvania Church Relations Board. The new Program Associate will work in the office of DOM/Global Ministries Mission Interpretation and Constituency Relationships, but will also coordinate the Short-Term Volunteer Program in the Mission Personnel Office.
