Anne Kleinschmidt Memorial Fund for Swaziland

Swaziland

The Anne Kleinschmidt Memorial Fund for Swaziland was established in October 2009 by Reverend John Kleinschmidt, husband of the late Reverend Anne Kleinschmidt, and their family, who wish that her strong passion for global mission be lived out through the ongoing support to ministries in Swaziland provided by distributions from this Division of Overseas Ministries endowment fund.

In 2004, despite her own health challenges, Reverend Anne Kleinschmidt organized a mission trip to visit the work of Global Ministries partner church, the Kukhany ‘Okusha Zion Church in Swaziland.  There, Anne’s love for the work of the international church was nurtured, as she was greatly inspired by the vitality of the Kukhany ‘Okusha Zion Church and by the people living with HIV.  She learned a great deal as she and the group visited congregations and social programs of the Kukhany ‘Okusha Zion Church, coming back to the United States committed to securing support for their worthwhile ministries.

Upon the occasion of Reverend Anne Kleinschmidt’s death on December 12, 2004, her family wishes to remember her life and ministry through the Anne Kleinschmidt Memorial Fund for Swaziland, and invites others to do the same.  One-hundred percent of the distributions of the Anne Kleinschmidt Memorial Fund for Swaziland will be sent annually by the Global ministries Office for Africa to the Kukhany ‘Okusha Zion Church in Swaziland, for the purposes agreed upon by the church leadership and the Global Ministries Area Executive for Africa.  Priority will be place on HIV/AIDS ministries of the Kukhany ‘Okusha Zion Church.
