Visiting with people in Israel and Palestine is essential to understanding how the ongoing Israeli/Palestinian undermines the lives and livelihoods of both peoples, and to being an advocate for and end to the violence and better futures for both people. If you have a call to be a peacemaker, and a passion and love for the people of Israel and Palestine, CMEP invites you to join a Peace Journey this October.
If you are a Christian with a heart for the Palestinian and Israeli people, if you want to be a peacemaker by engaging your federal representatives as well as your local community, and you have some time and energy to commit to the work of peacemaking, I invite you to consider joining us in October as we travel to the Holy Land to meet people who are also working for peace.
Part pilgrimage, part reality tour and part learning and planning, this journey uses MEJDI's dual narrative approach which includes both Palestinian and Israeli guides while visiting people with different histories and a shared future. MEJDI is a joint Jewish-Arab tour operator guided by a mission to provide responsible tour experiences and invest in the communities of which they are a part of, and reach people and places that traditional tour companies cannot.
With pre-departure briefings and in-country conversations about how to engage others back home, this journey is not the end of your experience, but the begining of a new story of what you have seen and felt, and what you'll do when you return home.
This is a new CMEP initiative to support and increase grassroot leadership. Itinierary and pricing is being finalized. If you are interested in learning more about this trip email Doris Warrell at doris(at)cmep.org and information will be sent to you as soon as it is available.
