CONASPEH Dedicates New Building on Earthquake Site

On Saturday, February 5, the CONASPEH leadership held a dedication service to inauguate the new building that was rebuilt on the site of the 6 story center which was flattened by the January 12, 2010 earthquake. Global Ministries Co-Executive, David Vargas preached at the dedication service and GM Latin America and Caribbean area executive, Felix Ortiz, brought words of solidarity and support from Disciples and UCC members in the United States. A People-to-People pilgrimage group from Allisonville Christian Church wast present for the dedication. This group was scheduled to leave for Haiti during the time of the earthquake last January and had to postpone their trip the first time around. Mark Pohlman from Longmeadow UCC, Karen Yount from the Disciples Greater Kansas City Region and Jeff Moore from Webster Groves Christian Church  were present for this celebration. Thank you for keeping our Haitian partners in prayer as they rebuild hope in their communities.
