ETSC Update for October 2011

The Evangelical Theological Seminary in Cairo’s update for this month

Dear ETSC friends and prayer partners,

Thank you for remembering us in your prayers over the past few weeks since the loss of many lives in the clash between Christian demonstrators and the Armed Military Forces. We have felt strengthened and encouraged by the prayers of our brothers and sisters all over the world. And though the times continue to be turbulent in Egypt, we cannot neglect to give thanks to God who renews our strength like an eagle and blesses us with new mercies every morning.

Our Fall semester is off to a great start. On Friday September 22nd, we welcomed 13 new students into our ordination-track program, and another 25 students into our non-ordination track program. We also welcomed back our returning students after their summer internships, and have been encouraged to hear about all the ways in which the Spirit of God guided and blessed their summer field ministries. What a delight it’s been to see our campus swarming with such bright and promising students.

Please join us in praying for each student that the Lord gives them a blessed and fruitful academic year. Please also pray for us as we continue to work to secure the scholarships needed to train these future church leaders for the glory of God.

May the Lord bless each of you in your lives and ministries as you serve Him.

May He Increase,
