We just celebrated our 45th anniversary of love and service. The dream that started in 1962 is today a happy reality which benefits children, teenagers, and adults with deficiencies in hearing and language. This year more than 100 students have had the opportunity to receive an integral education at the different levels that our institution offers. Thirty-five professionals have dedicated themselves to teach our students during this fiscal year. Students and professionals have been able to carry out their activities within the comfort of our new modern classrooms and athletic facilities of our new building.

Dear Friends,
We just celebrated our 45th anniversary of love and service. The dream that started in 1962 is today a happy reality which benefits children, teenagers, and adults with deficiencies in hearing and language. This year more than 100 students have had the opportunity to receive an integral education at the different levels that our institution offers. Thirty-five professionals have dedicated themselves to teach our students during this fiscal year. Students and professionals have been able to carry out their activities within the comfort of our new modern classrooms and athletic facilities of our new building.
The kitchen/dining hall has served more than 60 students and teachers Monday through Friday year round. The mothers, sisters, and cousins of some of the students have worked as volunteers preparing the food. The food provides nutritional meals, a substantial lunch filled with love and care.
We have celebrated Family Day. The parents, grandparents, and other family members of the students participated in an afternoon full of talent. Our students put on many displays, games, dance, and theatrical performances. On the Day of the Children we were able to provide entertainment and delicious chocolates and cake to our students with the help of various partnering businesses. The young adults enjoyed a beautiful Day of the Teenager by participating in a school dance and sharing a meal with their professors.
We had the Fourth “Marcial Godoy” Athletic Tournament. Some of the participants of the tournament were athletes from the School of Hearing and Speech and the School of Pedagogic Recovery. The trophies, balls, and other athletic supplies were provided by different businesses and sponsors. There were also volunteer firefighters present to provide first aid in case of an emergency.
Since August, the Ministry of Education and Culture is providing free cookies and milk. With these gifts all of our students are able to have a nice snack.
The school is also still offering their hearing, speech, and psychological services to the community. These services are offered at a very low cost.
During the Gymnastic exhibition the students demonstrated to their parents all their accomplishments in the areas of motor skills and dance. The students’ accomplishments in the area of gymnastics help them develop in other areas of their education as well.
To commemorate the 45 years since our founding, the school organized activities during the anniversary week. To begin the celebrations, we had a church service in which we gave thanks. There was a session to educate people about Cochlear Implants. The leader of the session was an Argentinean ear specialist. The presentation was made in partnership with the company, Cochlear Americas, and another doctor. The session was also attended by professionals from the same institution and from other programs with similar interests.
Past professors were also invited to celebrate our 45th anniversary. The school’s personnel made a special homage in honor of the past professors. We are happy to see people that have worked with us in the past and have given their contribution towards the education of deaf people.
This year students and professors visited the city of Ayolas which is adjacent to the Yacyretá Dam. This trip was courtesy of Yacyretá and for many of our students this was their first time being in a different community. Students had the opportunity to be away from home and learn about other areas.
We give thanks to God, our partners, friends, parents, and professors for all the gifts we have received this year. We ask that they stay with us next year. We also ask that Jesus Christ illuminate our hearts and that the New Year will keep on being a new adventure for everyone.
