For God So Loved the World Global Justice Event
On the afternoon of Sunday, July 13, 2025, Disciples Home Missions and Disciples Overseas Ministries will host a tour of the National Civil Rights Museum and Lorraine Motel. This partnership event is to affirm our commitment to education for all and about all in the ministry of Jesus. During open time at General Assembly, we are pleased to offer a timely tour and brief conversation around the exhibit “A Culture of Resistance: Slavery in America 1619-1861.”
This exhibit offers a representation of the global impact of slavery. Entering the circular gallery, visitors walk on a floor map of North and South America, Europe, and Africa. Illuminated channels provide statistics and information about the Atlantic slave trade, including the massive number of people captured, goods cultivated and wealth created.
When: Sunday, July 13, 2025 @ 1:00pm or 3:00pm
Price: $30.00 (includes bus pick-up and drop-off at the Convention Center)
Spots are limited so register today!
