Reverend Robert Clyde Williams, 87, of Arlington Tennessee, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 4, 2014. He was surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Williams was a veteran of the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Decatur-Trinity Christian Church in Bartlett Tennessee.

Bob was a servant of God as a pastor and missionary to Africa, serving for over 30 years as a missionary to Africa, together with his wife Jane, in three countries.  In Lesotho Bob taught English and directed the Peka High School from 1962 to 1966.  He then served in what today is the Democratic Republic of the Congo 1968-1980, working with the Mbandaka Lycee Girls High School of the Community of the Disciples of Christ in the Congo.   Bob and Jane again served the Lesotho Evangelical Church 1984-1988 and 1990-1993.  In 1996-1997 Bob served the Kgolagano Theological College in Botswana. 

Robert Williams is survived by his wife of 63 years Jane Williams; four children:  Steven Williams (Anna Marie), Mark Williams (Sandy), Janet Kirkendoll (Garner), and Tom Williams; 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral for Robert Williams was on Friday May 9, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Decatur-Trinity Christian Church.  Entombment followed at Memphis Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Bob to Decatur-Trinity Christian Church, 2449 Altruria Rd.
