The vision of Emmanuel Baptist Church, located in El Salvador’s capital city of San Salvador, is to be a Christian, Evangelical, Baptist, and Ecumenical church committed to the cause of peace and justice in El Salvador.  The church’s mission is to promote personal and community transformation through evangelism, education, and training of pastors and deacons to contribute to constructing a more just and humane society.

One way this mission is achieved is through training farmers in crop diversification. This is working toward food security, implementing new farming techniques that reduce the use of agricultural chemicals, ongoing training of community health workers, and working with children toward a culture of peace.  The church works in four geographical areas: Usulután, Cuscatlán, Sonsonate, and San Salvador.
