Chile Mission Trip – January 2014

In 2010 and again in 2012, the IKC sponsored a group of 10 individuals on a mission trip/spiritual journey to Chile, in South America. The delegation worked with the Pentecostal Church of Chile, with whom the IKC has forged an expanding relationship, and traveled to the Shalom Center, a spiritual retreat set high in the Andes Mountain Range in central Chile. The purpose of the visit is to learn about and participate in mission work in other parts of the world, supported by Our Church’s Wider Mission.

The next IKC mission/spiritual journey to Chile and the Shalom Center is scheduled to take place January 4th through 14th, 2014.  We currently have 4 people signed up, and the goal is to have 10 to complete the group.  Spanish-speaking skills are definitely a “plus”, but are not required. The Shalom Center is accessed only via an approximate 1 mile hike up an inclined dirt road/path, so those with major physical limitations may have difficulty.

Please consider the possibility of sharing this opportunity of being a part of this “spiritual journey” with your congregation this weekend and beyond.  It has been an absolutely wonderful experience for everyone who has had this opportunity in the past, and we look forward to another very successful journey in January.

Lastly, we are hoping to have at least one pastor join the group, as requested by our hosts, to help represent the IKC at a couple more formal events with the PCC and its elders.  If you would also personally consider being a part of this next delegation, we would love to have you!
