While the college began as a small training center of six students and grown over the years, it has in the last five years developed into a multidisciplinary university college with a population of 440 students distributed in five different courses. The courses include:
- Bachelors of Divinity,
- Bachelor of Business Administration and
- Bachelor of Communication;
- Master in Islam Christian Muslim relations and
- Master in Community Care and HIV/AIDS.
St Paul is the only Theological College in Africa that offers a Masters in Islam. Despite this expansion, the university is committed to ensure that Bachelor of Divinity with a focus on training for pastoral ministry continues to be the key course within the institution. In addition, the college community adopts a Christian theology of life with a focus on service to God and humanity irrespective of choice of career.
St Paul’s supports the development of the main churches in Kenya and particularly in area of personnel development and theological formation. Currently more than two thirds of church ministers from the mainline churches in Kenya have been trained and continue to receive their training at St Paul’s.
