
Sara Marean is a mission co-worker at the Pacific Conference of Churches in Suva, Fiji, serving as Ecumenical Formation Officer. Highlights of her ministry will include working with Frances Namoumou, the Ecumenical Animator for Ecological Stewardship and Climate Justice, including conducting an audit of existing PCC ecumenical formation and Sunday-school resources and drafting updated Sunday-school lessons and adult study guides on Pacific contextual theology, creation care, peace, justice, and self-determination.
Originally from Cambridge, MA, USA, she is a graduate of Earlham College and Harvard Divinity School. Ordained by the Cheshire Association of the NH Conference of the UCC in 2001, she has served as a pastor in Massachusetts, Minnesota, and New Hampshire. Most recently, Sara served as the Associate Conference Minister for the NH Conference, UCC, a position that included serving as the Ukama Coordinator, facilitating the ongoing relationship with the UCFC of Zimbabwe. Sara enjoys time with her family outdoors, hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, and skiing.
