Union Christian College Nursing School Scholarship Endowment Fund

Philippines

The Union Christian College Nursing School Scholarship Endowment Fund was established in September of 2009 by Mrs. Iluminada Capistrano-Batoon with Wider Church Ministries in order to assist current and future nursing students of the Union Christian College School of Nursing, San Fernando, La Union, Philippines in a permanent way.

The Union Christian College Nursing School was founded in 1973 when Dr. Samuel Capistrano was president of the College and is ranked highly for its excellent nursing program.  This endowment fund provides an opportunity for alumni/ae and friends of the Union Christian College School of Nursing to contribute to their alma mater and return in gratitude a token of the benefit received.  Additional donors, especially constituents of the United Church of Christ and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), but not exclusively, are welcome to make contributions to this permanent fund that assists nursing students at the Union Christian College, San Fernando, La Union, Philippines with needed scholarship support.

The Union Christian College Nursing School Scholarship Endowment Fund reached its funding goal and began generating distributions for nursing-scholarship support in 2010.  Disbursements to the Union Christian College will begin in 2012 and will continue annually thereafter from the available endowment distributions.

Additional contributions may be made to the principal of the Union Christian College Nursing School Scholarship Endowment Fund by sending a check written to:
