Season of Creation Bible Studies

The Season of Creation is an ecumenical event that begins on September 1st with the Day of Prayer for Creation and ends on October 4th with the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of ecology venerated by many Christian churches worldwide. Throughout the month-long celebration, the world’s Christians gather to care for God’s creation through prayer and action. The theme for Season of Creation 2026 is Living Water.

Each year, the Pacific Conference of Churches encourages members and partners to celebrate the Season of Creation by shaping a liturgy with special attention to the concerns and context of the Pasifika region and peoples. Global Ministries co-workers with the PCC, Revs. Sara and Eric Marean, assisted in the production of this year’s Season of Creation Pasifika resource.

2025 Season of Creation: Peace with Creation
A series of 5 weekly bible studies that children, youth, and men’s and women’s fellowships can use to reflect on the relationship between faith, the environment, and Pacific ways of life. 

Co-sponsored by the World Council of Churches, the Season of Creation is an ecumenical observation that extends from September 1 through October 4. Its goal is to encourage Christians around the world to prayer and action to renew Creation and “our relationship with our Creator.”
