Global Ministries is saddened to learn of the death of Ruth McClintock Henderson

Ruth McClintock Henderson
April 4, 1925 – November 12, 2015

Ruth McClintock Henderson was born and raised in Saint Paul, Minnesota.   

In 1947 and through 1950, Ruth served as a math and science teacher at the American Institute in Izmir, Turkey through what is now known as Global Ministries.  She moved to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 1963 and was a teacher and researcher at the University of Alberta until her retirement in 1988. 

Ruth was a lover of music, played the pipe organ, was a world traveler, a mountain climber, a photographer and an avid letter writer. She always was active in the activities and the music of her church. Ruth enjoyed foods, art, and music from many regions of the world. 

Ruth is survived by Frank Henderson, her husband of 54 years; a niece, four nephews, a brother-in- law, and a sister-in-law. 

A service of thanksgiving was held on Thursday, May 5 at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 9009-163 Street, Edmonton, Alberta T5R 2N8, Canada. 

In lieu of flowers a donation may be given to a charity of your choosing.
