On Monday evening, 12 January 2009, an ecumenical and international award was bestowed on His Beatitude the Patriarch, Mesrob II, in an interchurch service at the Holy Mother of God Patriarchal Cathedral.

On Monday evening, 12 January 2009, an ecumenical and international award was bestowed on His Beatitude the Patriarch, Mesrob II, in an interchurch service at the Holy Mother of God Patriarchal Cathedral. Throughout his clerical life His Beatitude the Patriarch has been an ardent promoter of interchurch relationships and has worked hard for this cause. This is why the Interchurch Relations Institute of the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, the Regensburg Institute of Oriental Church History, and the Silver Rose of St. Nicholas Committee have deemed His Beatitude the Patriarch worthy of the “Silver Rose of St. Nicholas” award.
