Update from Programme for Christian-Muslim Relations in Africa (PROCMURA)

The Programme for Christian-Muslim Relations in Africa (PROCMURA) was established in Ghana in 1959 as the “Islam in Africa Project.” The project was created in the context of the country’s struggle for independence from Britain, France, and Portugal.

The Programme for Christian-Muslim Relations in Africa is dedicated to working with the churches in Africa to promote the following:

  • Faithful Christian witness to the Gospel in an interfaith environment of Christians and Muslims.
  • Constructive engagement with Muslims for peace and peaceful co-existence for the holistic development of the human person.
