Tour Mission Statement
Peace Lutheran Church has a rich tradition of mission trips at different sites around the United States, and in Bolivia. This trip to Israel and the Palestinian territory is a continuation of that tra- dition. We will learn about where Jesus walked as we visit the historic sites. We will also learn about where Jesus walks today, through the ministries of Lutheran, Roman Catholic and Orthodox communities. We will focus especially on the work of Palestinian Lutherans and the educational ministries they are developing in the Palestinian territory. The Christian population in Israel and the Palestinian territory is declining. Nevertheless, Palestinian Lutherans, with the support of the global Lutheran community, is conducting a strong and vital ministry with the Palestinian people.
