Work to Write in the Holy Land!

The Tantur Fellowship Initiative is offering scholars seeking to complete their graduate, post-graduate, doctoral studies or dissertations through a ΓÇ£work-to-writeΓÇ¥ program, allowing them to live on campus with full board in exchange for 25 service hours per week.

The Tantur Ecumenical Institute was founded in 1972 on a hill in Jerusalem near Bethlehem as “an oasis of learning, community and hospitality.”  For forty years, Christian scholars from a multitude of denominations, nationalities and fields of study have been coming to Tantur to take advantage of our serene campus, excellent facilities, unique location and expansive theological library, containing more than 70,000 books and periodicals. As part of our mission, we have developed the Tantur Fellowship Initiative for scholars who are seeking to complete their graduate, post-graduate, doctoral studies or dissertations by means of offering a “work-to-write” program, allowing them to live on campus with full board in exchange for 25 service hours per week.  Applicants must be willing to be self-motivated yet work within an administrative structure, be willing to perform light administrative and facility support tasks, and articulate their planned academic pursuits while in the Holy Land.  For more information, please visit our website at tantur.org, or contact Operations Director Tony Pohlen for more information.
