–You dont want to add any pictures that are more than 300 pixels wide.  The picture above is about 270 pixels wide.  Pixels are units of measurement on a computer screen (each pixel can be thought of as a dot of light on your computer).  To save a picture from a website, right click on it and select “save as”. 

—You can do simple editing such as resizing or adding text with Micorosoft Picture manager or Microsoft Paint.  You should always save your pictures as a GIF or jpeg/jpg because these are formats recognized by all web browsers.  GIFs are also very compact and made especially for the web.  If you want to do more to your photos like color correction (or create graphics like the one above) you can get a free program here.
