Critical Presence in Latin America and the Caribbean means support for Pastoral Ministries of partner churches serving situations of great need, and Theological Education that effectively nurtures church leadership and unity among brothers and sisters in Christ.  Partner churches immersed among the poorest of the poor in places such as Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Jamaica, along with church council efforts of the Latin America Council of Churches and the Caribbean Conference of Churches, walk with God's People in search of faithful meaning and compassion in their ministries.  In some countries such as Argentina, Paraguay, and Mexico, the emphasis is on church unity, capacity-building, and the serious assessment of God's Mission for the church today.  Likewise, seminaries and education programs in places such as Chile, Costa Rica, and Puerto Rico diligently educate and nurture national and local church leaders, preparing them and walking with them in their ministries.
