Advent in the Middle East Webinar, December 15
Middle East Webinar Scheduled for Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 7pm EST
Join us for Advent in the Middle East, a Webinar facilitated by Peter Makari, Middle East and Europe area executive for Global Ministries. The Webinar will be based on a pilgrimage that Peter will lead with Bob Shebeck and 7 Disciples Regional staff: Bill Allen, Ben Bohren, Beth Dobyns, Katheryn Graham, Ken Hall, Sandy Messick, and Ken Moore. The group will visit international partners in Lebanon, Syria and Israel/Palestine from December 1 to 11, 2009. During the journey the group will learn about our Disciples and UCC partners in the region. They will listen to their stories and discover the hopes they have for their people during this Advent season. The Advent in the Middle East Webinar will share current information about our partners as well as the message of hope and peace they wish to share with us during this Christmas Season.
If you want to participate in this Webinar, please follow the instructions below and log in at 7:00pm (EST) on Tuesday, December 15, 2009. During the Webinar, you will see on your screen a PowerPoint presentation along with audio and video of Peter Makari (and maybe one or two of the trip participants). You will be able to ask questions at the end of the presentation by typing them in the chat section on your screen. You can participate alone or you can plan a meeting of your mission committee and gather together around a computer screen. What a great way to learn about God’s mission in the Middle East!
