Become a Citizen Co-Sponsor of House Bill Regarding Military Detention of Palestinian Children

On November 14, 2017, lawmakers introduced the first-ever bill on Palestinian human rights in Congress. The #nowaytotreatachild team spearheaded these efforts in 2017 and now we need your help to keep things moving forward.

The bill was introduced by Rep. Betty McCollum (D-MN) with nine co-sponsors. It now has over 25. We need you to take action to help add co-sponsors.

Can you sign on as a citizen co-sponsor of H.R. 4391 to show your support?

The “Promoting Human Rights by Ending Israeli Military Detention of Palestinian Children Act,” or H.R. 4391, seeks to promote justice, equality, and human rights.

It prohibits U.S. tax dollars from supporting human rights violations like torture and ill-treatment against Palestinian children during the course of Israeli military detention.

H.R. 4391 requires the Secretary of State to certify annually that no funds given to Israel have been used to support the ill-treatment of Palestinian children detained by Israeli forces from the occupied West Bank.
