Dear Friends and colleagues:
Warm Christmas greetings to you and those you love and serve.
While 2020 has brought so many unexpected changes and challenges, as well as numerous sad – even tragic – events all around the world, including many occurrences close to home in Bethlehem and the Middle East where we live, we cling to the hope and rejoice in the promise fulfilled in “Born to you a Savior, who is the Messiah…Emmanuel – God-with-us.”
From our temporary base in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, while on “home assignment” between our terms of appointment to mission service, we are thinking of you with deep gratitude for the gift of your friendship and the fellowship we share in our common commitments.
For this Christmas and all the days to come, we pray that your lives be filled with the great joy announced by the angel to the shepherds, felt by the magi when they saw the star, and foretold “for all the people.”
المجـد لله في الأعالي، وعلى الأرض السـلام، وبالناس المسـرة
Glory to God in the highest
and on earth peace
goodwill among people.
Rev. Victor Makari and Sara Makari serve the Diyar Consortium in Israel/Palestine. Their appointment is made possible by your gifts to Disciples Mission Fund, Our Church’s Wider Mission, and your special gifts.
