CMEP Action Alert: Thank your member of Congress for voting NO on H. Res. 268

We need your help in building a movement for peace in Congress! Last week, the House of Representatives passed H. Res. 268, a resolution that calls for policies that penalize the Palestinians for pursuing international recognition and national unity.

While there was overwhelming support for this resolution, your member of Congress voted “No” on H. Res. 268. Your representative’s vote is a call for a new approach to U.S. policies in the Holy Land, and we’re asking you to write your representative today to say thank you.

On an issue that is as contentious and politically and emotionally charged as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it is important to take the time to show appreciation when members of Congress show a nuanced, thoughtful, and pragmatic approach to Middle East peace efforts.

Act today and let your representatives know that you support a thoughtful, balanced, and comprehensive approach to U.S. policy in the Middle East. By showing our appreciation for their words and votes, we can demonstrate that there is a broad base of support for their approach. We can help swell the ranks of members of Congress who understand that there is an upside to true statesmanship and are willing to take the challenging political positions for peace.

Write your representative today to say thank you and urge their continued leadership for peace in the Holy Land.

Thank you for your work and action for peace. Your voice does make a difference.
