CMEP Bulletin: Israel Releases PA Tax Revenue Frozen Since January

On Monday Israel released tax revenues to the Palestinian Authority (PA) that it had been withholding since the PA’s decision to join the International Criminal Court in January. After PA President Abbas rejected the Israeli stipulations on a release two weeks earlier further negotiations led to Monday’s release. On Wednesday the PA began paying out arrears owed to PA civil servants, who have only received 60 percent of their salary since the Israeli tax freeze, Wednesday.
