Working with Faith, Joy, and Hope: A Virtual Pilgrimage to Ecuador with FEDICE

Join us in a virtual pilgrimage of faith, joy, and hope through Ecuador with our friends from the Ecumenical Foundation for Development, Integration, Training, and Education, FEDICE! In this pilgrimage, participants will enjoy the natural beauty of Ecuador, learn about its history and culture, and join in the work and witness of FEDICE. From the middle of the world, FEDICE works with indigenous and rural communities by promoting human development, creating jobs, and improving family income. Through a series of sessions of pre-recorded materials and live interactions and discussions, pilgrimage participants will immerse themselves in Ecuador through listening, learning, sharing, and walking with our FEDICE family while discovering opportunities for further engagement and support.

Spaces are limited. Register at the bottom of this page.

Cost $25.00 per person
100% of the cost will go to FEDICE for the production of pre-recorded materials, visits to various communities, translation services, and support of community projects.

Why a virtual pilgrimage?

“The virtual pilgrimage made rich connections to the sacred and active presence of God’s spirit in unexpected ways. [Distanced] sharing of bread and wine at God’s table was a powerful statement to the connections being made and the oneness of God’s people in ways unanticipated. Anywhere can become a place for an encounter with the Holy.” – Ed Evans, former virtual pilgrimage participant

“Thanks to the staff of Global Ministries in making this pilgrimage possible. This information was not only instructive, but I felt like a made new friends in Christ… I hope that there will be more opportunities like this.” – Ken Moore, former virtual pilgrimage participant

“I found the virtual pilgrimage to be much more than I expected. To have the translations made each day more meaningful. I also signed up to share the experience with our congregation conference in hopes to get more involvement in the future.” – Kenneth Crouch, former virtual pilgrimage participant.
