Gaza Statement from the Arab Group for Muslim-Christian Dialogue

Several days ago the Arab Group issued a statement condemning the massacres that Israel has been committing in Gaza Palestine.

Greetings and peace to you.

Several days ago the Arab Group issued a statement condemning the massacres that Israel has been committing in Gaza Palestine. We have appealed to all concerned – Palestinians of all parties and political affiliations, leaders of Arab countries, those influencing public opinion worldwide, and especially people of conscience – to put pressure on decision-makers around the world to work towards the cessation of the Israeli offensive in Gaza and to help the victims of this conflict.

The Israeli military attack on the children of Gaza continues as we write this statement. The offensive continues to incur huge human and material losses, especially the killing of children and women, even the extermination of whole families, and the shelling of mosques and schools, including UNRWA schools. The recent attack on the Al Fakhoura school is particularly deplorable, and cannot be condoned by any standard.

We come again with this statement, asking you to pressure the governments of your countries, especially those who have a stake in international decision-making, to call for the immediate cessation of the fighting in Gaza.

The Arab Group for Christian Muslim Dialogue appreciates your various positions and efforts for righteousness and peace-building in the world. We reiterate our call for you to do your utmost effort to help those wounded and affected by this brutal war, and to seek to find a fundamental, fair, and lasting solution to the conflict in the Middle East, as we believe that bringing peace into this region is determinative for broader world peace.

On behalf of the Arab Group for Muslim Christian Dialogue,
