Anne_Gregory.jpgAnne Gregory, Global Ministries Missionary, made a special visit to the youth of the Pleasantville and Fairview Christian Churches.  The youth were inspired as they learned about the ministry Anne will be joining in Thailand, so they decided to hold fundraisers throughout the next three years in order to support Anne in Thailand.

The youth have set a goal of raising $300.00 per year, for three years ($900 total).  They will reach this goal through a series of planned events and fundraisers each month, including creating and selling painted leaves, candy corn Halloween pouches, puzzle piece ornaments, and butterfly magnets.  The enthusiasm was palpable on the very first Sunday, as the youth raised $72 in one day!  Due to this early success, the Junior Disciples (Grades 3-5), were tasked to eat two giant containers of cheeseballs.  This assignment was necessary in order to empty the cheeseball containers and use them as a visible display in both churches of the youth’s progress and success in raising funds.

Way to go Pleasantville and Fairview youth! Since I was born when my dad was the minister of your churches (41 years ago…), I’m super proud and excited to see news of your hard work!
