Pray with Honduras, February 15, 2026

Prayers for Honduras
Loving and gracious Father, at this moment we unite in prayer to You, Lord, to thank You for all Your mercies and blessings, and to thank You for Your Son, Jesus, and Your Holy Spirit. Lord, at this time we place Honduras, our beautiful country, in Your hands. Despite the difficulties, fears, and challenges that often affect us as citizens, we are confident, as Your word says, that You will be with us every day of our lives until the end and that no weapon forged against us will prevail. We cling to your promises and believe that our country will rise like the eagle. We pray for our new President, Tito Nasry Asfura, and for his entire cabinet. Lord, may you instill in each of them the fear of God, wisdom, and humility to govern Honduras, and may we see your glory upon every Honduran man and woman. May you make your face shine upon Honduras. We pray for the Christian Development Commission, for this beautiful project of faith and hope, and for the opportunity you give us to serve the most vulnerable families and provide for their basic needs for family, local, and community development. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
Mission Moment from Honduras
The Christian Development Commission (CCD), for more than 43 years of uninterrupted work in Honduras, has supported local development processes with citizen participation, along with providing assistance in the most vulnerable areas and regions of the country, where families have limited access to benefits that guarantee food security and financial income in their homes due to a lack of employment and opportunities that would allow them to improve their quality of life.
The southern region (Choluteca and Valle) and the northeastern region (the municipalities of northern Francisco Morazán) are the areas most affected by natural disasters, experiencing droughts in some seasons and severe flooding in others. In this context, CCD, in conjunction with Global Ministries, has supported these communities through the implementation of food security projects, providing training, organization, and ongoing support to grassroots groups. This has included the creation of small rural savings and credit associations, enabling beneficiaries to access food to improve their diets and generate income by selling their products.
None of this would be possible without the financial support of Global Ministries, the Disciples of Christ and United Church of Christ denominations, and we are so grateful for all these years that they have embraced our mission and vision as their own.
