Lectionary Text and Prayers for China: John 20:19-31
God, we thank you for the incredible work you have been doing in China. Hundreds are turning to you daily, and we pray that you continue to guide new believers here so that they can grow more fully in their faith. Give them the faith to be able to believe without seeing in a country where it can be a difficult choice to follow you:
-We ask that you help new christians grow in faith.
-Continue guiding people with your loving hand as the people of Sichuan are still rebuilding from last years devastating earthquake.
-Be with the families who make hard decisions between sending their children to school or the factory to make ends meet.
-Help rural churches find the preachers they need so that they can continue their ministries in the countryside.
-We pray that you help the Amity Foundation, which has done so much good in rural china, that it may find more volunteers as it faces shrinking numbers.
