Pray for Swaziland on Sunday, February 5, 2017

Untitled.jpgLectionary Selection: Matthew 5:13-20

Prayers for Swaziland:

Welcome to the new year of 2017! I would like to share a prayer…

We start fresh and anew in 2017 and as the children go back to school I pray for a blessed new year for Swaziland. They say 2017 is a time of action and success. I pray that the Kukhany’Okusha Zion Church and fellow members be the salt of good taste. I pray that God’s grace makes Swaziland shine bright. I pray that the youth of Kukhany’Okusha have a good first day back to school. I pray for many passings and high marks/achievements in their first term back.

Amen

Untitled2.jpgMission Stewardship Moment from Swaziland:

From our reading Mathew 5: 13-20, personally I like to think of newness and of being fresh. The light cleanses the darkness and salt heals a wound. I recently visited Mliba this past Sunday. Mliba is a growing church and is still a fairly new branch. I learned that it is still trying to set up its own leadership and home office. The congregants meet at a school for church service. I was welcomed with open arms. There were about fifteen people that arrived. Even though they are small compared to other branches, they are giant when it comes to singing of their choir. I feel touched by Mliba because as I am still new to things and so is the branch. The congregants’ light shined this past Sunday and we all enjoyed the presence of one another during worship. We all sang, laughed and smiled. I think this is what letting your light shine is all about.
