For three decades, Global Ministries has been a shared witness of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the United Church of Christ, partnering with communities around the world to live out the Good News of Jesus Christ. Together with local and international partners, we work for justice, foster reconciliation, and empower communities to thrive.
As we celebrate this milestone year, we center ourselves in Ephesians 4:1–6, with verse 4 as our focus scripture: “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling.” This passage grounds our commitment to unity, partnership, and shared purpose.

Biblical Reflection
Ephesians 4:1–6 calls the church to live lives worthy of the calling we have received—marked by humility, patience, and love. At the heart of this passage, verse 4 proclaims a profound truth: “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called.” This unity is not uniformity, but a Spirit-given bond that holds together diverse peoples, cultures, and gifts in God’s mission. For thirty years, this calling has been lived out through partnership—across borders and traditions—grounded in the shared hope of Christ. As we celebrate this anniversary, we reaffirm that our many expressions of faith are joined in one body, led by one Spirit, and sent into the world with one mission.
