I’m sure you folks are familiar with the work of groups like Students for Justice in Palestine, BDS, J Street U, and so forth. “Justice” is I presume your goal as well as theirs.

Given the above—and that I’ve done extensive doctoral studies in this field and focused on the quest for justice throughout this region and elsewhere—please read this recent, widely-published op-ed of mine on this topic and think about its contents a bit. This version is in a publication of some 38 million truly stateless people in the region, the Kurds… https://ekurd.net/students-justice-palestine-2018-07-05

For more in-depth info on this important topic, here’s the book dealing with it—in many leading universities all over the world— my own http://q4j-middle-east.com

If you haven’t seen this Christmas message video from PMNetanyahu, please enjoy and hear what he has to say: http://www.bizpacreview.com/2016/12/25/merry-christmas-greeting-israels-benjamin-netanyahu-embrace-heritage-427939

After you watch it, please consider why the UCC policy supporting BDS is such a terrible mistake, based on uninformed information and attitudes. Israel does not hate Palestinians. They don’t encourage stabbings. The Palesinean Authority on the other hand teaches hate and uses its own people to put out a hate message not only against those that don’t agree with them but innocent people. So by supporting a boycott on Israeli you are essentially saying lets bring down Israel. And it is an anti-Israeli and anti-semitic message. This is not what I thought Christianity taught, taking sides against a democratic country such as Israel that goes out of her way to treat medically all those either Israeli or Palestinian or Syrian or whoever. Right now Israel is providing medical to help to injured Syrians. Israel provides medication and medical procedures and research for the whole world regardless of background. So why would your church organization do such a thing? The whole situation as you know if very complicated, and for a religious institution such as yours to make a decision like you did is mind boggling. Israel is not the occupier. I think you need more history lessons to understand the situation and you give out an unfair untrue message on you website.
