Prayer for Chile

Let us pray that, as the Pentecostal Church of Chile, we may continue to be rivers of living water that quench the spiritual thirst of those who need it. May we faithfully reflect God’s love, bringing hope to every corner.

Let us also pray for the Shalom Center, that it may continue to be a source of life, care for creation, and holistic restoration. And especially, let us pray for each person who comes to this place, that they may be profoundly transformed, healed, and restored by God’s love, and that this river of life may continue to flow in them and through them.

Mission Moment from Chile

Water is an essential element for human life and for all of God’s creation. In it, we find sustenance, renewal, and hope. However, for over 15 years, Chile has been facing a severe drought—particularly in its most productive region. This reality stands in stark contrast to the natural beauty that surrounds us: a country bordered by a vast ocean and traversed by rivers that descend from the mountain range, laden with purity and life.

These rivers, which for generations have sustained our land, also remind us of the promise found in God’s Word in John 7 – the flowing of living water. Just as natural water quenches physical thirst, the Holy Spirit fills and restores our lives.

In a special way, the Shalom Center has been like one of these rivers: a place where, for years, many people have arrived weary, wounded, or without hope, and have found rest, renewal, and new life. Just as the river sings as it descends from the heights of the mountain range toward the sea, the Shalom Center has served as a channel of blessing where God’s love flows constantly, transforming hearts.

There, many have been able to reconnect with their Creator, rise up once again, and continue their journey with the certainty that they are not alone. The living water of the Spirit continues to flow, bringing restoration and abundant life to all who draw near.

***

I have always loved flowing water. There is something special about sitting before a river, the sea, or a lake, contemplating its grandeur and listening to its constant flow. In those waters, one can perceive life, strength, and purpose, as if they reflected the very heart of our Creator.

Almost 18 years ago, my life was led to a place where that reality became tangible: the Shalom Center. There, amidst breathtaking nature, I understood that God manifests Himself in both the small and the immense; in a simple ant, but also in the majestic grandeur of the mountains.

The Shalom Center has been for me like that river of life spoken of in Scripture: a place where God constantly flows, bringing restoration, healing, and purpose. In that river, the Lord has worked in my life in profound and inexplicable ways. He has restored me, molded me according to His will, and transformed me into a vessel ready to carry fresh water to those who thirst.

Today, as I go through an illness that many associate with death, I can say with certainty that God is still good. Even in the midst of this time, I have felt how that river of life has never ceased to flow within me. He has quenched my thirst, sustained me, and reminded me of each of His promises. That river continues to flow, and the Shalom Center is a living expression of that water which God pours out—a place where many have arrived thirsty and have been filled, where lives have been transformed, and where the love of God is manifested in a real and profound way.

We give thanks to the Lord for Global Ministries, which has enabled us to join together with so many brothers and sisters in the faith across different countries, and to every brother and sister who has sustained us with their prayers and support.
