Pray with the Dominican Republic, November 20, 2022

Prayers for the Dominican Republic

Dear God,
We know that it is very important to honor the promises you set for us, just like Jeremiah did when he bought the land from his cousin when you asked him to. In the same way, we also know that we can’t do anything without your help, so we ask for that as well. Please watch out for SSID and all of the workers in the world right now doing your work. We also ask that you keep them safe and out of harm’s way. Similarly, we ask that you watch out for everyone at home and abroad and pray for the safety of those currently traveling. Thank you so much for all that you have done, will do, and are doing in the world.
In your precious and loving name, we pray,
Amen

Mission Stewardship Moment from the Dominican Republic

As a global mission intern, I was able to help SSID with research and translation that they needed to continue their missions in the Dominican Republic. On one particular assignment, I remember going out into the field with a coworker. While traveling, they showed me the area and the people and communities. There was a lot of need in some of those places, but the work that SSID was doing was helping change those areas for the better. One of the biggest impacts was the agriculture projects that paired with people in the communities by teaching them how to grow different foods. Just like how Jeremiah was told to buy the land from his cousin, SSID also took on a mission from God to help the people in those areas while also bettering the area in the process.
