Prayers for Lesotho
Gracious and risen Lord,
You came to your fearful disciples and spoke the words of peace: “Peace be with you.” We come before you today with the same longing for your peace. Breathe your Spirit upon us as you breathed upon them, and renew our faith where doubt and fear still linger.
Lord, we lift up our country, Lesotho, into your loving hands. Let your peace dwell in our land, in our leaders, and in every village and home. Heal divisions, guide those in authority with wisdom, and help our nation walk in justice, compassion, and truth.
We also bring before you the work you have entrusted to me as a servant and leader in your Church. Strengthen me to shepherd your people with humility, courage, and love. As you sent your disciples into the world, send us also to be witnesses of your resurrection and your hope.
Bless the communities and people we serve. Where there is suffering, bring healing; where there is doubt, plant faith; where there is despair, awaken hope.
Lord, like Thomas, help us to believe more deeply and confess with our lives: “My Lord and my God.”

Mission Moment from Lesotho

High in the mountains of southern Africa, the Lesotho Evangelical Church has long been a beacon of hope, resilience, and community. Rooted in a deep commitment to the Gospel, the church serves not only as a place of worship, but as a vital center for education, healthcare, and outreach—especially in remote areas where resources are limited.
Through its longstanding partnership with Global Ministries, this work is strengthened and shared across continents. Together, they support programs that empower local leaders, expand access to education, and address critical needs such as food insecurity and HIV/AIDS awareness. What makes this partnership so meaningful is its mutuality—walking alongside one another, learning from each other’s faith, and honoring the unique gifts each community brings.
This connection reminds us that mission is not about distance, but about relationship. Whether in Lesotho or here at home, we are part of one global body—called to serve, uplift, and love in Christ’s name.
