Prayers for Puerto Rico

Lord Jesus, on this day, we come before You with humble hearts to present our beloved island of Puerto Rico in prayer. Amid so many difficulties and uncertainties, You have called us to love one another without distinction of political, religious, or other beliefs. Therefore, we ask that this commandment be planted in the heart of every Puerto Rican, family, and human being inhabiting this land. During difficulties, may we know how to be a light for one another, reaching out our hands to help, comfort, and build up. May love be stronger than division, may unity overcome differences, and may we work together for the well-being of our land. Lord, bless those who suffer, strengthen those who serve, and guide those who lead. May our love reflect Your love, and may Puerto Rico be a living testimony of Your grace and mercy.

We ask this in Your holy name, Amen.

Mission Moment from Puerto Rico

Just as Jesus called his Disciples to bring a message of love, compassion, and hope to the world, Hope Builders Home (Hogar Forjadores de Esperanza) has been called to serve families and children most in need. The Disciples left their nets to follow Jesus and dedicated their lives to caring for the most vulnerable, healing wounds, and bringing light to those living in darkness. In the same way, our work is to reach out to children and families at risk, guiding them with love and support so they can grow in an environment of safety and well-being. Jesus taught, protected, and healed, and left us the commandment to love one another (John 13:34-35 ).

Following His example, we work to prevent child abuse, strengthen family ties, and support the education and upbringing of the little ones. Just as the disciples brought the hope of the Gospel to the world, we bring hope to every home, sowing seeds of love and transformation in every child and family we touch. Our mission is not just a social service but an act of love that reflects the heart of Christ.
